With over 40 years of service to his community and country, Mark G. Stainbrook brings a unique and unrivaled global perspective to government, law enforcement, military operations, security consulting, and counter-terrorism. He retired in 2026 as the Chief of Police of the City of Beverly Hills, having built one of the nation's first Real Time Watch Centers and reducing crime by 34% while increasing arrests by 22%.
Prior to Beverly Hills, Mark served as Chief of Police and Vice President of Public Safety for the Port of San Diego — overseeing 146 sworn officers, a $40 million department budget, and a $20 million contract policing San Diego International Airport. Before that, as an LAPD Lieutenant, he led 50 detectives in the Anti-Terrorism Intelligence Section and managed LAPD's Joint Terrorism Task Force assignments.

A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve after 32 years of service, Mark was recalled to active duty for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, where he reconstituted Baghdad police forces — training over 600 Iraqi police officers and establishing integrated patrols with U.S. Marines. His Fulbright Police Fellowship took him to Leeds University to research Muslim community-police relations; he has also trained law enforcement in Kenya, Chad, Nepal, India, and Thailand on behalf of the U.S. State Department.
